Causality

[SWE]
Kausalitet

Definition

Refers to the connection between two events, processes, states or objects. One event, a cause, contributes to the occurence of another event, an effect. The cause is partly responsible for the effect and the effect is partly dependent on the cause. The effect cannot exist as it is without the cause but doesn't have to be exclusively dependent on the particular cause alone.
Synonyms are causation or cause and effect.
